The Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral fellowship in Middle East Studies. Researchers with training in Environmental Studies, anthropology, political economy, urban studies, and geography are particularly welcome to apply. This fellowship is renewable for up to three years contingent upon administrative approval.
In addition to research, the successful candidate is expected to teach 3 courses per academic year and to participate in the intellectual life of the department and other units on campus. S/he will receive a stipend of $65,000 plus benefits. Applicants must have received their Ph.D. within the last five years or at the latest by August 15, 2018, the start date of the position. In addition to the letter of application, applicants should include their curriculum vitae, a writing sample, three recommendation letters, and sample syllabi.
